When deciding to launch our first series of fine art posters, we gave our dear friend Trotwood the option to explore any subject he felt would be impactful and spark his imagination. Trotwood’s passion for literature and the works of Franz Kafka is well established and he could think of nothing more exciting than to pay homage to one of his favorite writers. He began with a lengthy reading and rereading of Kafka’s hauntingly powerful and incomplete novel The Castle. The works that Trotwood has created embody the ethereal feeling and spirit captured in Kafka’s words. They rouse the creative spirit and capture those perplexing moments where the unknown and unfamiliar create a sense of bewilderment and unease. We hope that you enjoy exploring the road to The Castle.
